A scholarship program is offered annually from the W.A.C.E. Education Foundation to individuals who are employed by a chamber of commerce and are currently members of W.A.C.E. The purpose of the scholarship is to improve the overall performance level of chamber of commerce executives and staff and to encourage professionalism in the field of chamber management.
Eligibility
1. Both staff and chief executive officers are eligible.
2.Applicant must be employed in the chamber profession and be a current member of W.A.C.E.
3. Foundation scholarships ($500) are to be used for Academy tuition; the applicant must pay all other expenses (i.e., housing, meals and travel).
4. Scholarship checks will be made payable to the recipient's Chamber, not to an individual and distributed after confirmed attendance in August.
5. Application must be submitted via the Apply system provided by W.A.C.E. Incomplete applications and those without appropriate reference letters will not be considered.
Selection
After a thorough review of all applications, the W.A.C.E. Education Foundation Board of Directors shall select a maximum of twenty scholarship recipients; the board’s decision will be final. Announcement will be made no later than May 30, 2025.
